PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a skew or deformation increase of a bill to smoothly and certainly convey the bill in a regular attitude. SOLUTION: First pressing rollers and second pressing rollers are alternately disposed along a conveyor belt. The first pressing roller is set as a true circular roller having a groove in the peripheral face, and is disposed such that the bill passed between the conveyor belt and the first roller is bent and is always applied with pinching force and that the bill tip arrives between the conveyor belt and the first pressing roller on the downstream side of the second pressing roller when or just after the rear end of the conveyed bill is separated from between the conveyor belt and the first pressing roller on the upstream side of the second pressing roller. The second pressing roller is set as an eccentric roller having a groove in the peripheral face, and the peripheral face has: a portion applying the pinching force to the bill while the second pressing roller contacts with the bill passed between the conveyor belt and the second pressing roller and is rotated; and a portion not applying the pinching force.
