PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a ferrule with an optical fiber by which the deterioration of characteristics can be suppressed when the ferrule is fitted to the tip of a secondary coated optical fiber. SOLUTION: With the tip of a primary coated optical fiber 2 exposed from the end 5a of a reinforced pipe 5, an adhesive is used, sticking the inner face of the reinforced pipe 5 to the outer circumferential face of the primary coated optical fiber 2. Also, using the adhesive, a bonded part 6 is preliminarily formed which is taperingly raised and hardened from the end 5a of the reinforced pipe 5 toward the tip end of the primary coated optical fiber 2. Then, the secondary coated optical fiber 3 having the bonded part 6 is inserted into the ferrule 11, with the end 4a of a primary coating 4 applied against a first tapered hole 17 between an optical fiber inserting hole 14 and a primary fiber inserting hole 15. Simultaneously, the end 5a of the reinforced pipe 5 is applied against a second tapered hole 18 between the primary fiber inserting hole 15 and the secondary fiber inserting hole 16, with the optical fiber made to stick inside the ferrule 11 with the adhesive.
