PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste liquid recovery apparatus capable of efficiently recovering a washing waste liquid without upsizing a recovery hopper. SOLUTION: The recovery hopper 31 is composed of a hopper main body 33 having an opening part 32 provided to its upper end and a lid part 34 for covering the opening part 32. An insertion hole 35, which permits the insertion of a rotary atomizing head 13 provided to a coating machine 2 in a rotatable manner, is provided to the lid part 34 of the recovery hopper 31. An inclination adjusting member 39 is provided to the base part of the hopper main body 33 in a protruded state and is pushed by an actuator 41 to alter the angle of inclination of the recovery hopper 31.
