PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive bearer made of a corrugated board which firmly supports a placed article, cuts material costs by reducing the amount of use of the corrugated board, and facilitates assembling work. SOLUTION: The bearer made of the corrugated board has a support member 5 on which a packaged article is placed to be supported. The support member 5 is equipped with a first contact face 5a which is brought into contact with a part of the inner surface of one second side board 2, a second contact face 5b which is brought into contact with a part of the inner surface of the other second side board 2', and a first extension portion 5c and a second extension portion 5d which extend integrally from both side ends of the first contact faces 5a and of the second contact faces 5b. The first and second contact faces 5a and 5b are held between the second side boards 2 and 2' and holding pieces 2a and 2a', respectively, by folding inwardly the holding pieces 2a and 2a' formed consecutively on the upper edges of the second side boards 2 and 2' brought into contact with the first and second contact faces 5a and 5b via folding lines.
