摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep estimation accuracy high without being affected by a temperature change when estimating vehicle weight from a relation between a braking torque command value and vehicle body deceleration where the command value is given. SOLUTION: While it is determined on S11 that a vehicle is in the process of braking and it is determined on S12 that the vehicle is in the process of braking only by regenerative braking, a regenerative braking torque command value Tmcom (the same as a braking torque command value Tdcom) and vehicle body decelerationαv generated at the time of the command are accumulated on S13. When the number N of times of accumulation is determined to have reached or exceeded a minimum number Nmin of times on S14, a group of record data on Tdcom (= Tmcom) andαv are linearly regressed to find a regression line for expressing anαv change characteristicαv = A×Tdcom + B with respect to Tdcom (= Tmcom) on S15. Vehicle weight M = A/R is found and estimated on the basis of the slope A of the regression line and on a tyre effective radius R on S16. Since the above data are those in the process of braking only by regenerative braking, the vehicle weight is estimated with high accuracy without being affected by temperature change.
