PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanically and electrically excellent foaming wire capable of stably producing high foam with uniform and fine foam. SOLUTION: An ultrafine particle foam nucleating agent (ADCA, OBSH, etc.) with a grain size of 5μm or less is mixed into a mixture of high density polyethylene (HDPE) and low density polyethylene (LDPE), which is coated over a conductor 10 with injection gas to form a foamed insulator 12. A polymer which consists of high density or low density polyethylene uses HDPE and LDPE together so that melt tension becomes 5.5 mN or more (190°C). Thereby, polymer melt tension and foam growing pressure of the foam nucleating agent can be properly balanced within an extruding machine to prevent foam-breaking and abnormal growth.
