PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the variety of loading layouts for carrying various cargos and to facilitate unloading of the cargo. SOLUTION: A cylinder 28 is fixed to expand and contract on a diagonal line or approximately in a direction along the diagonal line of sidewalls 20 and 22 with respect to the sidewalls 20 and 22, whereby the maximum stroke of the cylinder 28 can be secured on the sidewalls 20 and 22. In addition, a load applied to the cylinder 28 from an intermediate floor 14 via chains 30 and 32 decreases to a value of the load applied to the cylinder 28 when the expanding and contracting direction of the cylinder 28 is placed in parallel to a rising/lowering direction of the intermediate floor multiplied by cosθ. Therefore, driving force required for the cylinder 28 and a driving mechanism of the cylinder can be decreased, thereby simplifying (reducing size and weight and degrading specifications of) elevating means 24 and 26.
