PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head printer using rolled paper in which the size of a printed article is made variable, and at the same time, a perforation is arbitrarily formed with a good accuracy so that the printed article is simply cut without upsizing of the apparatus. SOLUTION: In the printer using the rolled paper 3, provided are: a first cutting cutter 11 for performing cutting in the parallel direction to the paper feeding direction of the rolled paper 3; a first perforation cutter 12 for forming the perforation in the parallel direction; a second cutting cutter 13 for performing cutting in the intersecting direction at right angles; and a second perforation cutter 14 for forming the perforation in the intersecting direction at right angles. The rolled paper 3 is paper-fed with a good accuracy of positioning by using a carrying roller 7 in the direction toward the carrying roller 7 used for printing from a position of installation of the first cutting cutter 11 or the first perforation cutter 12, to perform cutting and perforation formation in the parallel direction to the paper feeding direction.
