The laser radiation transmission unit of the LIDAR is an achromatic beam-forming telescope (AT). The reception telescope includes a paraboloidal mirror (PR), with a further, off-axis, paraboloidal, diagonal mirror optic (OP) forming a parallel, deflected beam for the detector (DE). The depolarizer is a rotary Glan Taylor prism (GP) with an optical beam switch producing a trigger signal at intervals of 90[deg]. These signals synchronize electronically-controller pulsing of the laser. A crossed Czerny-Turner spectrograph (CS) with multi-anode photon multiplier (MP) is used to detect the non-elastic Raman and fluorescence back scattering fractions. The non-elastic back scattering spectra are recorded simultaneously in 32 channels with a resolution of at least 1.5 nm and a bandwidth of at least 1 MHz.
|
