PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium capable of printing new information thereon in a proper direction, also on a disk type recording medium where information having restriction on vertical direction is printed on a label face beforehand. SOLUTION: On the disk type recording medium 9 where the information (printed information 19) having a restriction on the vertical direction is printed on the label face, one or more 2nd marks 20 are printed, in the peripheral part of the label face, which are engaged with a 1st mark 24 prepared on the periphery of a recessed part 23a for mounting the recording medium, of a label-printing tray 23 used on a printer, while the vertical direction of the printed information 19 almost matches the vertical direction of the information to be newly printed. The recording medium 9 can be set in the correct direction with respect to the tray 23 for label-printing by only aligning the 1st mark 24 with the 2nd mark(s), therefore, alignment work is facilitated, and the good looking recording medium 8 can easily be created.
