PLANAR ANTENNA DEVICE AND RADIO COMMUNICATION DEVICE USING THE SAME

It is possible to provide a practical planar antenna device in which antenna elements are opposed and feeding is performed from inside. A first feeding point (104a) of a first antenna element (101a) is arranged in the vicinity of the end portion of an inner antenna element of the two opposing antenna elements. A second feeding point (104b) of a second antenna element (101b) has a second slit (103b) longer than the distance from the end portion to the center of the second antenna element (101b) and is arranged in the vicinity of the end portion of the outer antenna element of the two opposing antenna elements. Since the feeding point positions are identical, the same electric field is excited with the two antenna elements of the same phase. Furthermore, in the planar antenna device (10), feeding is performed from inside of the two opposing antennas, which eliminates the need of the bending section of the feeding wire required in the conventional method. This reduces the wiring installation regions as compared to the conventional method.
