PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device easily performing inspection/maintenance and capable of reducing an installation area of an operation part. SOLUTION: In a normal operation mode, by operation of a landing operating panel 32, a car 10 is called to a landing 22 where there is an operator. Then, a destination floor is designated by a car operating panel 30 provided in the car 10. The car 10 is moved to the designated destination floor by the car operating panel 30. In an inspection/maintenance mode, by operation of a landing operating panel 32<SB>1</SB>on the lowest floor or a landing operating panel 32<SB>n</SB>of the uppermost floor, the car 10 can be moved to a position where inspection/maintenance can be performed.
