PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat which is elevated and lowered only when the seat is at the final position of a seat track mechanism, and capable of prohibiting the forward movement of an upper rail of the seat track mechanism when the seat is lowered. SOLUTION: The seat comprises a front link 71 with the lower part thereof rotatably mounted on the front portion of an upper rail 55 and the upper part thereof rotatably mounted on the front portion of a seat cushion, a rear link 81 with the lower part thereof rotatably mounted on the front portion of the upper rail 55 and the upper part thereof rotatably mounted on the rear portion of the seat cushion, an elevating/lowering lock mechanism 100 to prohibit the rotation of the rear link 81, a cancel mechanism 200 to prevent the operation of the elevating/lowering lock mechanism 100 unless the upper rail 55 is moved to the final position with respect to a lower rail 53, and a stopper mechanism 400 to prohibit the forward movement of the upper rail 55 when the elevating/lowering lock mechanism 100 is unlocked and the seat cushion is lowered to the lowest position.
