Provided are a polygon mirror, which is superior in surface roughness, planeness, and dimensional accuracy, is lightweight, and is manufactured in commercial quantity within a short time, and a preparation thereof. The polygon mirror(1) is manufactured by the steps of: molding a first resin composition into a first molded product(10); and depositing metal thin film on the outmost surface of the first molded product(10). The first resin composition comprises 4-20wt% of a synthetic resin, 4-10wt% of a hardener, 60-90wt% of filler, and the balance of an additive. The synthetic resin is an epoxy resin, the filler is silica, and the hardener is a phenolic resin. |
