PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of stabilizing expansion valve control by preventing hunting of an expansion valve opening. SOLUTION: The air conditioner is provided with a compressor taking in and compressing a refrigerant, a condenser condensing the compressed refrigerant, an expansion valve expanding the condensed liquid refrigerant, an evaporator evaporating the expanded refrigerant, and a control part controlling an opening of the expansion valve. It is characterized by that the control part controls the expansion valve such that a low pressure saturation temperature (a present CSST) in a pressure of the intake refrigerant to be taken into the compressor becomes a target low pressure saturation temperature (a target CSST) determined by subtracting 5 degrees being a predetermined temperature from an outside air temperature.
