PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input device capable of obtaining a high-quality image. SOLUTION: An imaging device 10 sequentially outputs picked-up images to a PGA 11 as analog signals. A memory 15 stores defective pixel information (defective pixel addresses, correction gain values, offset correction values, defect types) of the imaging device 10 in advance. In accordance with a defect type stored in the memory 15, a control section 14 reads a correction gain value or offset correction value and outputs it to the PGA 11 as a control signal. The PGA 11 receives the control signal, sets an appropriate gain or offset, and amplifies an analog signal of the inputted defective pixel with the appropriate gain or performs offset correction thereon.
