<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission method for a speech signal improved in a compression rate by conducting predictive coding. <P>SOLUTION: An adder circuit 1a computes sum signals (L+R) of stereophonic two channel signals L and R and a subtracting circuit 1b computes difference signals (L-R). Difference computing circuits 11D1 and 11D2 compute differencesΔ(L+R) andΔ(L-R) of this time and the previous time.
