<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition which is used for electrostatic ink jets and can fix high image quality images to a recording medium at low temperature and at high speed, and to provide an ink jet recording method. <P>SOLUTION: This ink composition for electrostatic ink jets, comprising (A) a dispersion medium, (B) charged particles containing at least a color material, and (C) a charge-controlling agent, is characterized in that (C) the charge-controlling agent contains a polyamide polybutenyl succinimide.
