PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that can reduce the weight of the device applied on a cabinet, and to provide a method of manufacturing the display device that is free from degrading workability by vertically installing a plurality of circuits for controlling the operation of a display panel even if the size of a screen becomes large. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 100 is configured such that two struts 21, 21 for connecting two sides faced up and down are fixed by a support frame 20, and a liquid crystal panel 10 is fixed by the support frame 20. Grooves 22 are arranged in the longitudinal direction of each strut 21, and metal fittings 23 are fixed which cover part of the grooves 22. Insertion holes are formed by the grooves 22 and metal fittings 23, and two stand struts 61 arranged in a stand 60 are fixed with the metal fittings 23 while inserted into the insertion holes.
