<p>A front substrate (11), which forms an image display device, includes a metal back layer which is laid over a phosphor screen and is composed of a plurality of divisional electrodes (30). A first gap (gs) is provided between neighboring divisional electrodes (30) in a first region (As) on the front substrate (11). A second gap (ge), which is greater than the first gap (gs), is provided between neighboring divisional electrodes (30) in a second region (Ae) which is located at a periphery of the first region (As). The second region (Ae) includes, at least at a part thereof, a region (Aer) having a lower resistance than the first region (As).</p> |
