A method for the adjustment of an anaesthesia device or respirator with a control unit controlling the respiration comprising: <SL> <LI>a) after selecting an input sector for a respiratory parameter by pressing and holding down the rotary and acknowledge switch beyond a preset first time threshold and the subsequent readjustment thereof according to the direction of rotation of the rotary and acknowledge switch, an increase or reduction in the magnitude of the selected parameter is directly brought about via the control unit, <LI>b) by releasing the rotary and acknowledge switch, a change of the adjusted magnitude of the selected parameter into the pre-adjustment takes place, <LI>c) renewed pressing and holding-down of the rotary and acknowledge switch within a second preset time threshold after release of the rotary and acknowledge switch according to b) leads to the parameter adjustment selected increased or reduced according to a), so that a further readjustment of the selected parameter adjustment is possible, <LI>d) pressing and releasing of the rotary and acknowledge switch within the first time threshold after one of steps a) or b) brings about an actuation of the adjusted parameter adjustment. </SL> |
