An organic thin film transistor and an organic light emitting display apparatus having the same are provided to effectively prevent a gate electrode from being separated from a gate dielectric by contacting a cross-section of the gate electrode to a side of an opening unit of a dielectric. Source and drain electrodes(210) are arranged on a substrate(100). A dielectric(290) has an opening unit(290a). The opening unit exposes the facing parts of the source and the drain electrodes. An organic semiconductor layer(230) is arranged in the opening unit of the dielectric to be contacted to the source and the drain electrodes. A gate dielectric(270) is arranged in the opening unit of the dielectric to cover the organic semiconductor layer. A gate electrode(250) is arranged in the opening unit of the dielectric and arranged on the gate dielectric.
