<p>A wireless IP telephone unit wherein even when many packet losses occur during a call, no call interruptions are noticeable and the degradation of sound quality is minimized. When the number of audio packet losses during a call exceeds a predetermined value, the wireless IP telephone unit, which has a plurality of codecs, stepwise switches to codecs having lower suitable bit rates, and, in a case of absence of such a codec having a lower suitable bit rate, transmits a transfer request to a predetermined transfer destination.</p> |
