PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance responsiveness when a valve member closes a valve seat by action of fluid pressure in a two-port solenoid valve opening and closing the valve seat by operating the plate shaped valve member by electromagnetic force and the fluid pressure. SOLUTION: In the two-port solenoid valve, the narrow and long plate shaped valve member 5 for opening and closing the valve seat 12 around a narrow and long output orifice 11 in a poppet manner is arranged in a valve chest 4 to which the output orifice 11 and an input orifice 13 are opened, the valve member 5 is attracted by the electromagnetic force acting on a rectangular fixed steel core 19, and thereby the valve seat 12 is opened, and the valve seat 12 is closed by the action of the pressure fluid from the input orifice 13. A fluid chamber 37 into which the pressure fluid from the input orifice 13 is introduced so as to act on the valve member 5 is formed on a narrow and long rectangular magnetic pole face 34 of the fixed steel core 19.
