<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion joint and a method of assembling the same. <P>SOLUTION: The expansion joint 100 for joining together first and second fluid conduits 102 and 112 includes a first seal retainer 120 having a cavity 140 formed between first and second ends 144 and 145, a first seal 142 positioned in a first seal retainer interior such that it fills the cavity of the first seal retainer, and extending between the first and second ends of the first seal retainer, a second seal retainer 122 having a cavity formed between first and second ends, a second seal 143 arranged in a second seal retainer interior such that it fills the cavity of the second seal retainer, and extending between the first and second ends of the second seal retainer, a bellows 124, and an annular shroud 180 slidably attached to first and second seal retainer circumferences.
