PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a location detecting device which is low in cost, reduced in occupancy space and low in power consumption, and can correct a camera shake highly precisely. SOLUTION: The location detecting device includes: a light emitting element 129a; a light receiving element 134a that receives light from the light emitting element 129a; and a projected-light pattern formation member 127a disposed between the light emitting element 129a and the light receiving element 134a and used to form a projected-light patten onto the light receiving face of the light receiving element 134a by passing part of light from the light emitting element 129a; and a location detection circuit 135a for detecting the location of the projected-light pattern. The projected-light pattern forming member 127a has the function of shielding the light receiving element 134a or/and the location detection circuit 135a against electromagnetism and light.
