PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic fire extinguisher used in a building, facilitating clearance work after extinguishing a fire, achieving quick fire extinguishing, and also improving the productivity. SOLUTION: This automatic fire extinguisher 10 installed near above a fire generation source 101 in a building includes: a storing container 20 for storing a liquid fire extinguishing agent in the non-pressure state and having a discharge port 23 for dripping the fire extinguishing agent; an installation means 30 for installing the storing container in the building; and an operating means 40 for switching the discharge port to the state of dripping the fire extinguishing agent above the fire generation source in response to a predetermined temperature rise of the fire generation source.
