摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the number of inverter devices that are started so as to increase power conversion efficiency based on a power supply output power value P from a DC power source by connecting a plurality of the inverter devices of different capacity in parallel to the DC power source. <P>SOLUTION: In this operation method of a power supply system, a plurality of the inverter devices consist of m sets of large-capacity inverter devices of a rated input power value Pm and n sets of small-capacity inverter devices of a rated input power value Pn. Based on the power supply output power value P, the number of the inverter devices that are started are determined out of only the n sets of the small-capacity inverter devices when P&le;Pn*n. When Pn*n<P&le;Pm*m, the number of the inverter devices that are started are determined out of only the m sets of the large-capacity inverter devices.
