PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assist properly the external field acknowledging ability of an occupant etc. which is going to drop according to the running condition of a vehicle. SOLUTION: An image synthesizing part 29 extracts an image region exhibited in the central part MC in the horizontal direction of a synthesized image M, i.e. in the central part of an image display region of a display device 16, from a central region image input by a central region image acquiring part 21, extracts image regions exhibited in the left-side part ML and right-side part MR in the horizontal direction of the synthesized image M, i.e. at both the ends of the image display region of the display device 16 according to left and right area images input from a left and right area image obtaining section 22, and produces the intended synthesized image M by synthesizing the extracted image regions. The image synthesizing part 29 is set so that the horizontal direction width of the central part of the image display region of the display device 16 changes decreasingly complying with narrowing of the view field of the driver in association with an increase of the vehicle speed and also the horizontal direction width of both the end parts of the image display region of the display device 16 changes incrementally based upon the determining result of the running condition of a vehicle input from a running condition determining part 27.
