PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly brush by increasing the density of brush bristles and avoiding variation in the elasticity of the whole planted bristles in the direction in which the brush is used. SOLUTION: A bundle 5 of bristles is planted and fixed in planing holes 7 by a flat wire planting method. The planting hole 7 is formed as a triangular hole constituted of three sides 7. A flat wire 8 is driven into the planting hole 7 to cause both the ends of the wire to enter the corner of the hole constituted by the two sides 7a and the side 7a opposite to the corner. The planting holes 7 are arranged in a linear line by disposing the slanted sides 7a adjacently to each other to form rows 12 of bristle holes. The flat wire 8 is driven into each of the planting holes 7 approximately perpendicularly to the line Q of the hole row. A plurality of the rows 12 of the bristle holes are constituted by arranging the lines of the hole rows adjacently in parallel, and the central driving positions of the two adjacent flat wires 8 in the row 12 of the bristle holes are shifted each other by half a pitch P between the adjacent bristle holes.
