ABSORBING TOWER FOR FLUE GAS DESULFURIZATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbing tower for a flue gas desulfurization apparatus capable of effectively resolving settlement and deposition problems of solid in a liquid sump tank with less facility cost and energy consumption.

SOLUTION: Agitation units 21 for swirling gypsum slurry A in are provided at the outer circumference of the liquid sump tank 20, and a unit for increasing the flow rate of the gypsum slurry A is provided near the central part of the liquid sump tank 20. A piping system 50 is provided as a means for increasing the flow speed of the gypsum slurry A near the central part, taking out part of the gypsum slurry A from the discharge side of a circulation pumps 32 and jetting through multiple ejectors 54 in the liquid sump tank 20.
