PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required for inspection before shipment in a digital multi-functioned machine. SOLUTION: When only a power source button is operated in a power-off state (NO in #1), the digital multi-functioned machine executes printer head initialization processing (#3) of a printer unit and sheet conveyance initialization processing (#4) thereof, and position initialization processing (#5) of a scanner unit and calibration processing (#7) thereof. When the power source button and a scanning button are operated in a power-off state (YES in #1), the digital multi-functioned machine omits the calibration processing (#7) among the above initialization processing, and executes initialization processing of the apparatus. In this way, since the calibration processing (#7) of the scanner unit can be omitted in inspecting the printer unit in inspection before shipment and a time required for initialization processing, a time required for inspection before shipment are shortened.
