The method involves using a semi-finished product as a wire-shaped metal section having a round cross-section. The metal section is rolled in a w-shaped flat profile in a cross section of a gutter bracket (1), and the side grooves running in the longitudinal direction of the bracket are rolled-in. A middle groove (11) running in the longitudinal direction is rolled in the flat sides lying opposite to one another. An independent claim is also included for a gutter bracket for an eaves gutter, comprising a metal section.
