VALUE ADDED SERVICES MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD

A system and method for managing supplementary services are provided to charge a fee based on a point of time when the supplementary service that a user has requested is initially connected(used). A system(120) for managing supplementary services comprises the followings: a supplementary service database(126) for storing information about the supplementary services; a data transceiver(122) for receiving arbitrary supplementary service registration request information or supplementary service use request information; a service manager(128) which registers the requested supplementary service as a temporary supplementary service when the registration request information is received, and converts the temporary supplementary service into a formal supplementary service when initial use request information for the temporary supplementary service is received; and a charging unit(129) for charging a fee for the formal supplementary service.
