SIDE GUIDE OF SLIT TYPE MOLTEN IRON NOZZLE

A side guide of a slit type molten metal nozzle, which is a repeatedly usable semi-permanent side guide for overcoming a limit of restricted service life of a conventional slit type molten metal nozzle side guide for casting a magnesium sheet caused by erosion and the like due to oxidation reaction of molten magnesium, is provided. As a side guide installed to be closely adhered to both sides of a slit type molten metal nozzle, a side guide of the slit type molten metal nozzle comprises: an upper side guide(22A) having a curved surface(23) formed on the top thereof such that the curved surface has the same curvature as a surface of an upper casting roll; a lower side guide(22B) having a curved surface(24) formed on the bottom thereof such that the curved surface has the same curvature as a surface of a lower casting roll; and springs(26) for elastically supporting the upper side guide and the lower side guide to push the upper side guide and the lower side guide toward the upper casting roll and the lower casting roll respectively.
