<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing stopping apparatus enabling to select and control whether to immediately cancel or to cancel after printing to finish a section being printed when printing is canceled in the case of sectional unit printing. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a sectional unit data storing part 4 in which data of the sectional unit printing is stored, and a printer controlling part 1 which detects that a cancellation signal indicating interruption of printing is inputted. The printer controlling part 1 continues printing the section being printed to the end of the section when the cancellation signal of printing is first inputted during the sectional unit printing in printing designated by the sectional unit.
