PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color diagnostic method for performing color diagnosis for a dress and accessories when Japanese put on a dress and accessories and which can be performed in conformity with Japanese traditional aesthetic sense. SOLUTION: An RGB value is measured in measurement areas corresponding to at least skin, pupils, and hair of head image data of a person for the color diagnosis, and an R average, G average, and B average which are averages of respective R values, G values, and B values in respective measurement areas are calculated from the respective measured RGB values. The calculated RGB average is converted into an HSB color model to obtain a basic hue value, to which 75-120 and/or 240-285 is added to calculate a recommended hue value. A recommended color is determined from the recommended hue value. 75-120 and/or 240-285 originally contrived by the inventor is added to the basic hue value so that the recommended color can be presented as a result of the diagnosis in conformity with the Japanese traditional aesthetic sense.
