A method for mass-producing secondary metabolite is provided to increase the production amount of the secondary metabolite by culturing plant cell with adding at least two saccharides to a culture medium. To produce secondary metabolites through plant cell culture, the plant cell is cultured using a culture medium for plant cell culture where a mixture saccharide is prepared by mixing at least two saccharides selected from the group consisting of monosaccharide, disaccharide, polysaccharide and sugar alcohol. In the method, the mixture saccharides is prepared from saccharides selected from the group consisting of glucose, fructose, mannose, ribose, arabinose, xylose, galactose, sucrose, melibose, trehalose, cellobiose, lactose, raffinose, amylose, starch, sorbitol, mannitol and glycerol. In the method, the content of the mixture saccharide is 2-12 wt.%. |
