<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration wave motor that produces little abnormal sound without depending on its service environment. <P>SOLUTION: An ultrasonic motor 10 includes a vibrator 11 generating a vibration on an elastic body 12 by an excitation of a piezoelectric body 13, a moving body 14 pressed into contact with the vibrator 11, and performing a relative motion to the vibrator 11 by a vibration of the vibrator 11, a pressing section 18 for causing the vibrator 11 and the moving body 14 to be pressed into contact with each other, and a supporting body 16A for supporting the moving body 14. The ultrasonic motor 10 is achieved to be provided with a member for reducing abnormal sound 15 formed using EPDM between the moving body 14 and the supporting body 16A in a pressing direction to the pressing section 18, with 50 or less of Shore hardness ; ≥0.002 and ≤0.25 of compressibility ratio, i.e. surface pressure divided by compression modulus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
