PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet type image forming apparatus which prevents a trouble caused by a mixed color ink from occurring, and decreases the amount of ink to be discarded. SOLUTION: When face surfaces 22Ks, 22Cs, 22Ms and 22Ys are cleaned, a head holder 22 is elevated a little. While this condition that it is elevated a little is held as it is, a retrieval bucket 54 is moved in the arrow mark B direction. As the retrieval bucket 54, wiper blades 60 and 62, four caps 52 and a reserve delivering bucket 70 are integrally moved, accompanied with the movement of the retrieval bucket 54, one wiper blade 60 successively wipes the face surfaces 22Ms, 22Cs and 22Ks in this order to clean these three face surfaces. Just after the wiper blade 60 cleans the face surface 22Ms, the reserve delivering bucket 70 is positioned just below a nozzle 22Mn. Under this condition, by delivering the ink from the nozzle 22Mn, the delivered ink is absorbed into an ink absorbing body 72 in the reserve delivering bucket 70. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
