PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier capable of reducing driving power and exhibiting humidifying performance at the maximum. SOLUTION: In this humidifier comprising a main body case 1, a fan 2, a vaporization-type humidifying element 3 and a water tank 4, the vaporization-type humidifying element 3 is composed of a water tank 22 for storing water supplied from the water tank 4, and a rotary humidifying filter 23 rotatably pivoted in the water tank 22 at a lower portion of a discharge opening 10 of the fan 2. A part of the rotary humidifying filter 23 is dipped in the water stored in the water tank 22, and the center of the flow of indoor air W1 supplied from the fan 2 is allowed to pass through an outer peripheral side with respect to the center of the rotation of the rotary humidifying filter 23, thus power for driving the rotary humidifying filter 23 can be reduced, and the humidifying performance can be exhibited at the maximum.
