PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for economically and efficiently manufacturing a polyester derived from biomass resources using a dicarboxylic acid and/or a diol derived from the biomass resources as raw materials of the polyester. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the polyester by a reaction of the dicarboxylic acid with the diol, the dicarboxylic acid and/or the diol are those obtained from the biomass resources and the minimum agitation speed during the polymerization reaction is caused to be at most 10 rpm.
