PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize characteristics of electronic devices that may be used in tires. SOLUTION: The electronic device comprises a transponder and an antenna 32 electrically coupled with the transponder. The antenna 32 has a core 50 of a first material and a coating 52 of a second material on the core 50. The second material has a higher electrical conductivity than the first material and/or a lower permeability than the first material. The coating 52 also has a predetermined thickness.
