PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the operation of inserting a guide rod in a preceding hole has been difficult by conventional drilling apparatuses. SOLUTION: This drilling apparatus is provided with a base 4 connected to an operating machine 2; a rock drill 5 provided for the base in such a way as to move forward and backward; a supporting part 7 provided for a front part of the base; and the guide rod 6 connected to the supporting part and protruded forward and makes the rock drill move a drill part 3 of the rock drill forward and backward in directions along the axis of the guide rod 6. The drilling apparatus is provided with both an imaging device 61 for imaging the guide rod 6 and the forward direction of the guide rod and a display device 66 for displaying image signals from the imaging device 61.
