PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder capable of controlling a scattering direction of an ink droplet from a wiper blade without damaging a wiping performance and enlarging the size of the recorder and to provide an inkjet recorder capable of performing the printing by using only one recording head without trouble in the case where a plurality of recording heads can be mounted on the recorder. SOLUTION: This inkjet recorder comprises a wiping means having a wiper blade 8 for wiping an ejection nozzle face of the recording head 3 by virtue of movement of a carriage 6 in a main scanning direction, and a blade cleaner section for wiping ink adhered to the wiper blade 8. Arrangement row of the ejection nozzles provided to the bottom face of the recording head 3 is perpendicular to the main scanning direction of the carriage 6. The wiper blade 8 is disposed to be parallel to the row of the ejection nozzles.
