PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardant mainly consisting of an organophosphorus compound, and a highly flame retardant organic polymer composition containing the same and totally not containing a halogen. SOLUTION: This new organophosphorus compound expressed by formula 1 [wherein, R is anilino, diphenylamino, carbazolyl, phenothiazino, benzhydryl or 9-fluorenyl], the flame retardant consisting mainly of the same and the flame retardant organic polymer composition containing the flame retardant are provided.
