PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel and a manufacturing method therefor which control the occurrence of a brake judder by improving the accuracy of surface deflection of a wheel-mounting flange. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the bearing device for the wheel, a plurality of hub bolts 5 are press-fitted at established intervals along the circumference of the wheel-mounting flange 4 of a hub wheel 2. Then a part which is deformed and the absolute amount of the deformation on the side 4a on the out board side of the wheel-mounting flange 4, which are caused by the press-fitting of the hub bolts 5, are measured beforehand. Then the information on this is recorded into a NC processing machine 11 as a working command value. Since the process of performing cutting work on the side 4 on the out board side is provided before the hub bolt 5 is press-fitted into the wheel-mounting flange 4, it eliminates the need for performing the cutting work while avoiding the interference between the hub bolt 5 and a cutting tool 23. Thus, the cutting work becomes easy, and the occurrence of the brake judder is controlled by improving the accuracy of surface deflection of the wheel-mounting flange 4 of the bearing device for the wheel.
