An embedding method for copyright management information is provided for an AV content distributed in the download type file format. In the MP4 file format which is one of the formats for distribution in the download type file format, content data distinguishes an ordinary stream from a medium stream and a code under IPMP management. Moreover, a first box provided in a control data box has a box for embedding data required for initialization of the IPMP and a box for embedding data required for protecting the IPMP and interpreting the parameter.
