<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device to which a new function other than a display function based on a liquid crystal display panel is attached with a simple construction. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with the liquid crystal display panel 2, a backlight 5 irradiating the liquid crystal display panel 2 with light from the rear face side thereof, and a half mirror 15 disposed between the liquid crystal display panel 2 and the backlight 5 to transmit light emitted from the backlight 5 and to reflect light incident from the front face side of the liquid crystal display panel 2, wherein a decoration layer 16 is formed with printing, which is transmitted through the half mirror 15 and projected only when the backlight 5 is turned on, on the rear face of the half mirror 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
