PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a device silent by suppressing generation of noise (squeal) due to friction with parts such as a paper feed roller when sheet which is a piled and stored recording medium is fed out from a paper feed tray one by one in a sheet feeding device provided in an image forming device. SOLUTION: Rollers (rotary bodies) 10 on both ends of the paper feed roller 3 of a D cut shape supports sheet S of the recording medium to be fed by the paper feed roller 3. The roller 10 has countless minute projections 11 erect on an outer circumference surface of elastic body layer 12, and abuts on a following sheet S2 and generates suction friction force by making the projections suck on a surface and conveys the following sheet S2 at the same speed as the sheet S1 in a paper feeding direction when a proceeding sheet S1 passes through a nip point N1. Namely, first proceeding sheet S1 and second following sheet S2 advance with overlapping at a part to suppress noise which conventionally a rear end of the proceeding sheet rises to generate.
